Needles Extracting
To properly install the dials we offer, it is also necessary to properly remove the arrows on the instrument panel.
Arrows rotate freely at a certain angle, after the free travel is over, it is necessary to turn the arrow around its axis with more force. This loosens the arrow.
The needle is usually removed with a perpendicular pull, but if you combine it with rotation, the removal becomes even easier.
Dials installation
The installation is quite simple and takes literally a minute. Most of the work is to remove the instrument panel itself and the arms from the center console.
Installation
Remove the old dials and hands and install the new ones as shown in the video. Follow the grooves cut into the new dial, they are the same as the original.
Setting the arrows
The arrows must be "zeroed" (they must point to zero revolutions or kilometers per hour. To do this follow the steps in the video:
- Place the hand with an offset of at least 1 mm from the dial.
- The free movement (stepper motor movement) is the movement of the arrow (needle)
- Counter-clockwise end of free travel is 0
- To center and "zero" use a little more force to move it against its axis, if you go past zero turn to the right (clockwise and go past the max.
